It is with deep sadness that we relay the passing of Ken Weiler in the Dominican Republic in his 44th year on Wednesday February 26, 2003. A husband, son, brother uncle, God-father, friend and co-worker, Ken gifted us through his thoughtful, caring actions - the telephone calls, cards, gifts, helping hand and of course, his efficient life rules. Beloved husband of Laurie Gallagher and dear son of Carol Weiler. Predeceased by his father Leonard (Pat) Weiler. Precious and most treasured brother to Doug and Charlotte Weiler (Hamilton), Judy and Dave Lumsden (Ancaster), Barbara and Brian Patriquin (Brampton, Connie and John Vansickle (Sarnia), Donna and Rick Levert (Ancaster), Tracey and Angelo Santucci (Edmonton). Cherished brother-in-law to Judy Weickert (Burlington), Ken has many nieces, nephews, nine God-children and a large circle of extended family and friends.

He will also be missed by everyone at the Hamilton Fire Department who will always remember Ken's dedication, spirit, humour, cooking and especially his loyalty to the Brotherhood.

Ken graduated from St. Thomas More High School. After becoming a Boilermaker Journeyman he attended the University of Guelph. In 1987 he realized his career desire to become a firefighter and joined the Hamilton Fire Department. Most recently he worked out of Station 6 (Barton and Wentworth, Platoon "B".
