| RUMBLES, John Alexander (Jake) Entered into rest peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Juravinski Hospital, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of 57 years to Marion (Minnie). Loving father of Janice (Kevin Thibodeau) and John. Caring grandfather of Jason, Michael and Leanne and great- grandfather to Jaden. Dear brother to Eva Cockwell (Bob, Deceased) and Bill, Deceased. Son-in-law of Edythe Stewart. Brother-in-law to Don Stewart, Deceased (Collette), Doreen Thompson (Fred, Deceased), Victor Stewart (Sandy) and Victoria Ballegeer (Rick). Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Jake retired from the Hamilton Fire Department in 1993 after proudly serving for 35 years. He will also be remembered as a skilled bricklayer. In his spare time, Jake loved moose hunting, fishing, wood working and the time spent with his family. Visitation will be held in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The service will take place in the chapel on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment in Caledonia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated. |
