HOWCROFT, James Jerard - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jim Howcroft on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Jim was the beloved husband of Beatrice (Seymour) for 65 years and the loving father of Jane (Grant) Fraser and Jeff (Elena) Howcroft. He will be sorely missed by his 5 grandchildren and their spouses and his 6 great-grand children. Jim is survived by his sister Mary McDougall of Cape Breton Island, his nephews Paul (Judy) Gebel and John (Liz) Howcroft and many other nieces and nephews. Jim served in the RCAF in WWII and retired from the Hamilton Fire Department after 35 years in 1984. He enjoyed his years of golfing and curling at Glendale Golf and Country Club, his many fishing trips with his great friends Fred and Art, his wonderful summers with family at the cottage and his vacations with his many friends in Florida.
