David Hildrop went home to be with Jesus on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Leamington Hospital.

Dave was a retired Lieutenant with the city of Hamilton Fire Department after 36 years of service.

Loving husband of Perpetua Hildrop for 27 years and the late Marion Hildrop for 28 years. Beloved father of Jeff (Tricia) Hildrop and Kathy (Bill) Byers, and step-children Fern (Tracy), Jimmy (Diane), Chip (Josee), and Robin (Dianne) Comtois and Tami (Mark) Arbor, and Connie (John) Spitman. Cherished Papa to 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Dearest brother of Mary Gushie, brother-in-law of Lorene Hildrop. Predeceased by brother Peter and brother-in-law Mike Gushie and parents William and Mary Hildrop and loving mother-in-law Marjorie Fitzgerald. Survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and special friends Monica and Doug Buttl.

Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at L.D.M.H. and the V.O.N. At Dave's request cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate Dave's life will be held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 50 Brucedale Avenue East, Hamilton on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m.
