It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Ross John Blair on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, who passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital in his 79th year, after a short battle with Cancer.

Born in Hamilton, Ross was predeceased by his parents, John and Olive Blair. Ross was the loving husband of Donna Hamilton of Ancaster, father to Joseph Blair (Seana) and Katie Sye (Jerome), both of Kentucky, and stepfather to Christine Henson (Dave) of Waterdown and Brenda Greene (Dan) of Guelph. Special Grampy to eight grandchildren, Brooklyn, Austin, Lexington, Ava, Andrew, Caroline, Chloe and Hannah.
In March this year, Ross lost his brother, David Blair (Barbara) of Mount Hope. He is survived by his sister, Frances Roberts (Wayne) of Ancaster, and will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he enjoyed so much.

Ross was a Firefighter in Hamilton for 35 years. When not working as a Firefighter, he drove a bus for Canada Coach, worked as a drywaller, was always involved in building projects and also helped build a house for a friend.

Ross was an avid golfer and was part of the “Dirty Dozen” at the “Ranch”In his youth, Ross loved working on cars. He had a lifelong love for music, played the piano and the guitar, and loved singing Karaoke. Ross loved to make people laugh and always had a joke to tell, even in his last months.
