Suddenly, but peacefully, on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 with the comforting presence of his wife Kathy at his side, Murray Patterson passed away at the age of 62. Loving husband of Kathy (nee Monaghan) for 26 years. Brother of Randy (Dana) Patterson and Nancy (Steve) Hearty. Brother-in-law of Claude (Carol) Luscombe, Carol (the late Pete) Cameron and John (Donna) Monaghan. Murray will also be missed by his best friends Tim and Meaghan Ellis, his many nieces and nephews and by his beloved dogs Moses, Buddy and Logan.

Murray started off working for Boonstra Heating and Air before beginning a 30 year career as a firefighter, first with Freelton and then Hamilton Fire Departments. A heart-felt thank you to the Hamilton Fire Department, the Hamilton Paramedic Service, and the doctors and staff at the Cardiac Unit at the Hamilton General Hospital for the amazing care they gave to Murray and continue to give to Kathy during this difficult time.

Visitation at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at COMPASS POINT CHURCH, 1500 Kerns Rd, Burlington (at the North Service Road) on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. A reception will be held after the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Mission Services Hamilton would be appreciated.
