| WORSFOLD, Craig William - passed peacefully away with his wife and life partner, Deborah, by his side on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, after a struggle with declining health, at the age of 75 years. A lifelong member of the public service, Craig started his career as a police officer, followed by work in private security and then a stint in directing security for a large hotel. It was there that he met Deborah, and the two were married in 1982. They celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in 2025. His last career move, and most likely his favourite, was to serve as a firefighter and later captain with the Flamborough Fire Department and then the City of Hamilton Fire Department. To say that fire safety was his passion would be an understatement. He lived and breathed this work and took immense pride in his accomplishments in the field. He later became a fire instructor, teaching young firefighters all he knew about their noble profession. Those who knew him would say he brought honour to the uniform. He loved open spaces, water, the outdoors, music, and drums. As a teenager, he drove the family crazy with his band who made loud, and sometimes good, music in the basement. He always had a drum set, wherever he lived. His passions were varied and his interests many. More than this, though, he was a devoted father and grandfather. His daughter Amber and son Clayton were his pride and joy, and his grandchildren Brantley and Paisley were truly the apples of his eye. He will be keenly missed by Deborah, Amber (Isma), Clayton (Katt), and, of course, Brantley and Paisley. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His siblings Debbie (Dan), Scott (Kerry), and Mark (Daniel) loved him dearly and will be forever grateful for his love, guidance, and friendship. Of course, he had a wide circle of friends from so many spheres of his life, and his impact on their lives will be felt indefinitely. | ||||
| Funeral Arrangements Cremation has taken place. In fulfilling Craig's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral.
